Review for New Apple iPod touch 8GB (4th Generation):
incredibly impressed - both with amazon and the ipod
wow first off, i gotta say im amazed at amazon for getting this to me so quick, i only ordered late friday night, dispatched on saturday afternoon and i had it on my doorstep this morning monday with only regular super saver delivery... now that is service... i have been so sick of waiting for this to come to the shops here in ireland, it feels like forever i have been waiting, i got rid of my old 16 gb nano which was too small last month, i thought these ipod touch would be readily available since they were advertised but alas no, so i bit the bullet and ordered from good old amazon, i was nervous, i dont usually buy electronic items from it but will from now on, my ipod arrived in mint condition and way sooner that i expected.

and to the ipod, im coming from an ipod nano, 16gb and i was happy with it until it could no longer hold all the music i have been accumulating and i would have gone for another nano if it came in 32 gb but i have to say now i see what i was missing... the touch is a really cool little gadget... great music capacity, great for watching tv, youtube,

facetime is a revelation too , i had thought about the iphone which has it too but didnt want a phone with all my music on it cause i know i just lose phones so easy and would end up having to replace a phone and an mp3 player if i lost an iphone so its cool to have facetime on this ipod touch..

overall im really impressed, very sleek and easy to use, with lots of great functions, i cant say how it compares to previous ipod touches, but coming from a nano, this is noe cool toy...

Review for New Apple iPod touch 64GB (4th Generation):
Can't use older Ipod Speaker System with Touch 4th Generation
I have and still do own the original Ipod Touch and decided as it was getting very slow to upgrade and purchase a new 32 GB 4th Generation Touch. While it is much thinner, better screen and performance I agree with others that if you have any Ipod Speaker Systems the connection will not work and the cost of replacing them is considerable. In fact my speaker system is more expensive than the Touch and I am very disappointed that Apple have sought to sneak under the table a completely different connection system as there is not an adaptor available. I would have given it a 5 * but only given it now a 3 * and to be honest wish I had not bought it as I still need to use my old Touch on my speaker system in the house. Bad move by Apple for no apparent reason.

Review for Apple iPod classic 160GB - Black:
Great improvements were introduced with the 9th gen Classic! Not.
If you're looking for info about this type iPod please click unhelpful and move on buying one. This is about its non-existence in the near future.

Why the '9th' in the title while the current version of the Classic is often referred to as the 7th Generation? Because it is the 8th...
- 5.5th gen 30 & 80GB 2006,
- 6th gen 80 & 160GB 2007,
- 7th gen 120GB 2008,
- 8th gen 160GB 2010
...and I simply couldn't declare the current Classic non-existent.

Here's the Classic [to be or not to be] question:

For the first time in many years [almost a decade?] no new generation was introduced in september of The iPod that made Apple incredibly famous and mighty. For the poor device a very omnious sign, worth one star adressed to Apple's killing course for me.

I hope Apple will prove me terribly wrong, and thereby will give the poor Pod [and us] the appropriate attention.

When Apple introduced the 80GB iPod Video [or the original Classic] in 2006, that capacity was sensational. More than almost every laptop and even desktop available, had. The sound it produced was the best of every iPod before and after, and the clarity, brightness and color of the little screen was a revelation. The headphone connection was also, very conveniently, the 'video out': uncoded, so with a simple cord an excellent iPod-TV cooperation was achieved.

But now, we're stuck with a meanwhile four year out-dated little full-screen and for Apple's once flagship-device's standards, a lousy 160GB while many desktops have passed the 1000GB and laptops the 500GB level, and a saddening soundquality/quantity. The 'TV-out' can be found on the bottom and requires a costly cable because the signal is in code...

I think, seriously, that they are milking the Classic without spending a dime on R & D and will dump it when the Touch 128GB can be introduced for 499 USD [here in Europe the usually overpriced 499 Euro or 450 Pound]. The then small difference between the capacity of the Classic and Touch will make it seem reasonable to end Apple's current stepchild's life.

Of course a Classic with a front-wide [touch]screen and at least 320GB is technically possible [the iPod Video 80 GB had two hard-drives too] for a reasonable price. The latter is exactly what Apple does NOT want. Everybody HAS to go expensive with the iTouch/iPhone.

Bye bye Classic, hello RIPod? Let's hope not.

Great little MP3 player
This mp3 really is tiny, and the clip makes it ideal for use in the gym. The memory is pretty big for the size, and it can be expanded with sd cards as well which is ace. The radio function is good too!

Review for New iPod nano 8GB (6th Generation) - Graphite:
An Unusual Backwards Step!
If you had/have the previous 5th Generation iPod Nano, then that really is an all-singing, all-dancing piece of kit. In my view, the new Nano is a bit of a rip-off and a bit of a backwards-stepping hybrid of the iPod Shuffle and Nano. As another reviewer had pointed out, the new Nano is all about the music: no video, no camera, no games, etc. Personally, I find the touch-screen buttons a bit clumsy (I do have quite large fingers!) and overall, I much prefer the 5th Generation Nano.

Review for Apple iPod touch 8GB (Launched Sept 2010):
Ipod touch 3rd Gen
Brilliant device with good size useable screen considering its small size. Geat for emails and facebook as well as music and pictures. Be careful to make sure you get a good deal now 4th gen models are out. I believe these also have camera and video. To me it makes sense to have an Ipod touch and buy a cheap phone rather than pay a huge price for an iphone

Used Price: £129.99
New Price: £157.95

Review for New iPod nano 16GB (6th Generation) - Pink:
Cool but...
This iPod appealed to me due to its compact size, good looks and reasonable storage space. Although many people complain about the lack of video/camera and similar capabilities in this iPod, my personal opinion is that the screen size is so small that you don't really need those features. Also, given the size and the purpose of this particular iPod, I didn't expect a great deal other than being able to play music on it. Still, given the fact that everyone has their own preferences and the fact that previous generations of iPod Nano had those characteristics, I feel it's a bit naughty of Apple to take that away while maintaining the price.

Other than that, this iPod is easy to use and navigation is very similar to iPod Touch. However, the screen doesn't rotate automatically as you turn this iPod. The clock you normally see at the top of your screen isn't there either.

However, the most frustrating thing with this iPod is exactly the same as the issue people have with the iPhone and that's its battery life. Apple website claims that this iPod gives you up to 24 hours of music playback when fully charged and, believe me, you will fully understand the meaning of the term"up to". I don't know in which universe this iPod was tested before its release to the mass market, but I managed to get it down to around 50% of its fully charged battery having played back only one full album by one artist just twice. Anyone can understand that this wouldn't come to anywhere near 24 hrs by any stretch of imagination.

All this aside, it's still a nice alternative to iPod Shuffle. Those who don't like the idea of a fancy iPod Shuffle should probably consider other iPods.

At last Apple have finally made a PROPER iPod !!!!!!
Before I write my review, let me give you a list of things that an iPod should NOT do or even be allowed to do:

* take photos
* browse the web
* browse Google maps
* play videos
* take photos
* play games
* be physically larger than 1.14 x 1.24 x 0.34 inches
* Skype grandma and talk about tea parties
* launch space shuttles
* make coffee
* receive and send e-mails
* take notes
* weigh over a ton
* give weather forecasts.....etc.......etc......etc

And now for a list of things an iPod SHOULD do:

* play digital audio content
* play digital audio content
* play digital audio content
* play digital audio content
* play digital audio content

At last APPLE HAVE FINALLY PERFECTED the iPod. Everything previous to the 6th gen Nano were experimentations. They came close with the 2nd gen Shuffle. At last they have taken the best feature of the Touch ie: touch screen; and the best feature of the Shuffle ie: miniature form and clip; and created the ULTIMATE iPod !!!!

This is truly the perfect iPod. It weighs next to nothing, can be clipped to your shirt/trouser/jacket/whatever and you can access all the content with great ease.
This is what an iPod is all about, people.

The iPod Touch hardly qualifies for an iPod. It's big, bulky, heavy and cumbersome. It actually falls into the category of a micro tablet computer in my opinion.
If you want all the gizmos that the Touch offers, then get an iPhone for Pete's sake.
The 6th gen Nano truly is an amazing iPod. It's kept simple and yet still has all the features that are typical of an MP3 player.
Aesthetically, it is simply stunning. No other iPod looks as snazzy as this baby.
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants truly portable audio.
PROS:
* looks amazing
* touch screen
* simple menu layout
* very light
* has a clip to secure to your clothing
* turns heads (it damn well should do!)
CONS:
* it would have been nice if Apple had included Nike+ inside the iPod instead of a separate dongle but I can live with that.

New Price: £99.00

Review for New Apple TV:
Apple tv, soon to be perfect
So I went up to cardifftoday to see one in action, but unfortunately there was only and old one setup! Saw the box on a shelf ( plenty of stock instore), And bought it on impulse. Took it to a cafe and semi- unboxed it, then ran to argos to buy a hdmi cable. Took it home and really opened it up.

So the actual box itself is a lovely, glossy Matt black box of components. The thing is tiny, and the remote is top notch, setup was okay, but had to turn him sharing on on all my devices, airplay doesn't work yet but will be out for iPad in november. Text input is a bit rubbish, but is better with the remote app for iPad and iPhone. And hopefully in an update a Bluetooth keyboard will work with it.

Best bits include podcasts, photos, flickr, YouTube,and radio.
If you buy on impulse you won't regret it, and if you find any spelling mistakes I typed it on my iPad.

good product but not enough sound
This is a good product in the sense that for its size and value it can hold a ridiculous amount of songs. However like my title suggests, it really wasn't loud enough, even with the volume maxed out. Max volume on this device is the same as half volume on my iPod, which in my opinion is just not good enough. If you want to go to the gym you can't hear your own awesome music as it is being drowned out by the crappy gym music.

Overall, good product with one fatal flaw, not enough sound!!!! I personally would pay an extra 20 pounds for a device that I can listen to properly wherever I go.

Review for Kubik Edge II 8GB 2.8" Touch Screen MP3 & Video Player with Built-in Camera & YouTube Player:
great product and the price is a bonus
i got this product a few weeks ago. since then i have had no problems with it. the touch screen is very good and comes with a stylus. theres no where to put the stulus but if you look after the product anyway then you won't need one. the sound quality on and off the speaker is excelent. i've heard people complain about the headphones but they are actually very good and dont fall out at all.
this product comes with 2 games, good for wasting time. a camera/ video camera, music player video player, setting and a few other options. and you can play youtube videos on it without converting them.
over all i think this product was a good buy full stop... i think that the price is just an added bonus.

Review for Sony NWZA845B A series Walkman 16GB MP3 Player with 2.8 inch OLED Screen:
Superb sound
I bought this as a replacement for my old but very reliable Creative Zen Vision player. Very satisfied with the Sony and particularly impressed with the noise-cancelling headphones. I travel a lot and take long-haul flights about every six weeks or so - for the last year or more I have been taking my Sony noise-cancelling headphones which are superb in cutting out the ambient noise in a plane but are bulky and can be a bit uncomfortable when trying to doze-off. This new Sony walkman with noise-cancelling earbud headphones are a perfect compromise and although the earbuds are not as efficient as my more bulky headphones they are good enough and allow me to drop-off while listening to the ambient music I listen to on long-haul....and they are fantastic compared to the airline supplied headphones.

It remains to be seen how reliable this kit is (only had it for a month or two) but if it is as long-lasting as it is practical then I will be a happy customer. The sound quality, to my untrained ears, is excellent - even superior to my kid's I-pods. For those who want to watch videos then the screen is bright and sharp but it is a 2,8 inch screen so don't expect a cinema experience.

A good old mp3 player!
I have been using this walkman for a small week and am quite satisfied: it seems to be what I expected, that is to say a good quality material, functional and simple. You can forget all the glittering ipod-like settings, this Sony just works, which probably explains why it's so cheap by contrast with an ipod. It depends what one is looking for, a very fashion object -and very easy to be handled to I must admit, ipods are really nice for that- or a classy, serious one like that.
